Custom-made Distressed Fireplace Mantel

This listing is for a custom size, distressed fireplace mantel.

It is built from quality Eastern White Pine. We craft it to appear as a solid beam but it is hollow inside and that makes it light and easy to hang. It is meticulously hand distressed to appear weathered and old. I would describe the distressing as fairly heavy. If you want it distressed more lightly or more heavily let me know. After it is thoroughly sanded we stain it to the color of your choice, and follow that with multiple protective coats of poly. We will use satin finish by default which has a low sheen, but we can use Matte upon request if a flat finish is desired.

To hang this mantel you will need to fasten the inner support to your wall. (The last picture shows the inner support) If fastening over sheet rock, you will need to locate the studs and then fasten the support securely to the studs.
We will include hardware for mounting on sheet rock/stud walls. If mounting to brick/stone let us know so we can provide special hardware.

If you need a custom length or size, choose the one just larger and put a note with your order specifying the size you want.
