We offer two kinds of finishes - stained, and painted.
Stained: We offer a lot of stain choices and can mix stains if needed. Most of our stains are the Minwax brand. All stains will have a certain amount of transparency that allows the wood grain to show through. After staining we cover the stains with multiple coats of a high quality Varathane to protect the furniture and give it a nice wipeable surface. Painted: We offer a smaller selection of paint colors but can color match most paints from national brands for an additional charge of about $20. We use high quality paints, usually the Behr brand. You can see a number of our paint colors here: https://theblackberrywoodshop.com/pages/paint-colors
